Aliona Stratan is the First Deputy CEO of maib, the largest bank in Moldova (since March 2020). Her experience in maib begins in December 2018, when she became an Independent Member of the Supervisory Board. 

Mrs Stratan has almost 20 years of experience in top management positions in the banking system of Moldova, Georgia, Armenia, and Russia. From November 2018 until June 2021, Mrs Stratan has been the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of IMON international (Tajikistan). At the moment she is the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of maib leasing, and is a member of the Board in AmCham Moldova and the Armenian Institute of Independent Directors. Mrs Stratan graduated the State Agrarian University of Moldova (B.A., Economics) and has a Ph.D. in Economics and Management, and an MBA in Global Management from Grenoble Graduate School of Business. Moreover, she is certified in Digital Business Transformation Management (CXO transform). Among the personal qualifications, Mrs Stratan stands out as a highly experienced professional in risk management, business development, transformation management with a proven ability to lead different teams and manage complex projects with various stakeholders.
